Cigarette Smoking Prevention Effects of Mass Media and School Interventions Targeted to Gender and Age Groups.
Flynn, Brian S.; And Others
Journal of Health Education, v26 n2 pS45-51 Mar-Apr 1995
This study tested the impact of combining mass media interventions with school smoking-prevention programs. Students in two communities received combined interventions over four years, while students in two other communities received only the school program. Periodic surveys indicated that the combined interventions had a significantly greater, persistent impact on smoking behavior. (SM)
