Friends, Fairness, Fun, and the Freedom to Choose: Hearing Student Voices.
Allen, JoBeth
Journal of Curriculum and Supervision, v10 n4 p286-301 Sum 1995
Presents findings of a project that interviewed students and staff at five Georgia elementary schools to discover students' attitudes toward their schools and teachers. Some students expressed powerlessness; some felt they could make a difference. Issues involving friendship, fairness, and fun predominated. Teachers must participate in their own governance to share power with students. (20 references) (MLH)
