Relates how, in a multicultural counseling class, many students clung to perceived notions of themselves, refusing to admit that they harbored prejudices against peoples of other cultures. Argues that reading the literature of cultural groups studied in the course would give more valid insight into those cultures. Concludes that, for better or worse, multiculturalism is here to stay.
