An Australian study compared the views of 26 humanities and 26 social sciences university faculty members concerning the aspects of teaching they felt they could delegate to others. Social sciences faculty were more likely to approve of contracting tasks to others. Individuals differed in the extent to which they were willing to "contract out" particular aspects of teaching.
