Conservatism and Attitudes toward Suicide: A Study of Taiwanese-American and U.S. Adults.
Domino, George; Su, Sulin
Omega: Journal of Death and Dying, v30 n2 p131-43 1994-95
Two groups reported significant differences in their conservatism and in their opinion of suicide. Correlations between conservatism and attitudes toward suicide were highly similar, with more conservative individuals perceiving suicide as related to mental illness, religion, and moral evil, and less so as a right to die.
