This study compared counseling programs' multicultural training to that of clinical psychology programs and to professional recommendations on multicultural education. Results suggested that counseling psychology programs demonstrated a significantly higher commitment to multicultural training than did clinical psychology programs. Nevertheless, most counseling programs did not prepare practitioners to be multiculturally proficient. (RJM)
