Improving Adjustment Outcomes for Foster Children with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders: Early Findings from a Controlled Study on Individualized Services.
Clark, Hewitt B.; And Others
Journal of Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, v2 n4 p207-18 Oct 1994
The Fostering Individualized Assistance Program (FIAP) was driven by permanency and family-focused values and involved intense case management to ensure that services could be adjusted as children's situations and needs changed. Compared to children in standard foster care, FIAP children with, or at risk for, emotional/behavioral disorders showed improved emotional and behavioral adjustment. (Author/JDD)
