Discusses and critically examines three issues that affect research in counselor education and supervision: mentoring practitioners, methodological diversity, and funding. Calls for counselor educators to improve research training counselors receive, particularly in area of treatment effectiveness. Urges counselor educators to provide mentoring to aspiring researchers.
