Introduces conceptual framework for developing positive, nonaversive, behavioral support plans for students with severe disabilities. Notes that framework is comprised of multiple components (alternative skill training, antecedent interventions, lifestyle planning) and offers comprehensive, proactive approach to reduction and prevention of difficult problem behaviors.
