Parents Who Abduct: A Qualitative Study with Implications for Practice.
Greif, Geoffrey L.; Hegar, Rebecca L.
Family Relations, v43 n3 p283-88 Jul 1994
Conducted in-depth interviews with 17 parents (9 fathers and 8 mothers) who had abducted their own children. Reported reasons for abduction included unsatisfactory contact with court-related professionals, revenge, and fear for the child's safety. Some abductors, after the abduction had been resolved, had increased contact with their children. (Author/NB)
