Assessing the Ability of Adults with Mental Retardation to Give Direct Consent for Residential Placements: A Follow-Up Study for the Consent Screening Interview.
Lindsey, Pam
Education and Training in Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, v29 n2 p155-64 Jun 1994
The Consent Screening Interview was developed to enable consumers with mental retardation to express views and preferences about community residential placements and indicate to service providers their ability to give informed consent. Analysis of content and construct validity and interrater reliability, involving 69 subjects, revealed that the instrument has some merit as a screening device. (JDD)
