Today's Students, Yesterday's Schooling.
Daggett, Willard
Executive Educator, v16 n6 p18-21 Jun 1994
U.S. schools are failing to prepare students for a technological, information-based society. Recent study showed that high school dropouts were better equipped to use consumer-friendly technology than high school or college graduates. Because only 15% of U.S. jobs will be unskilled, United States must rapidly revise its curriculum to stress technical-reading and abstract reasoning skills instead of concrete-sequential skills.
