Does Money Matter? A Meta-Analysis of Studies of the Effects of Differential School Inputs on Student Outcomes. (An Exchange: Part 1).
Hedges, Larry V.; And Others
Educational Researcher, v23 n3 p5-14 Apr 1994
Presents reanalysis of data from earlier reviews, particularly those by Hanushek (1981, 1986, 1989, 1991), on relationship between educational resource input and school outcomes when controlling for student characteristics such as socioeconomic status. Using different synthesis methods, analysis shows a positive relationship between resources and educational outcomes does exist and that it is significant enough to be of practical importance. (GLR)
