Journal of Technology Studies, v19 n2 p50-56 Sum-Fall 1993
A five-year study compared high school students participating in school-based work experience programs (SBWEP) to those employed outside in nonschool-supervised work experience (NWE). SBWEP students saw the relationship between jobs and academic skills and felt work was more meaningful. NWE students took fewer classes and reduced activities to meet work demands. (SK)
