Urban African American Teachers' Views of Organizational Change: Speculations on the Experiences of Exemplary Teachers.
Foster, Michele
Equity and Excellence in Education, v26 n3 p16-24 Dec 1993
Explores the views and perspectives of seven African-American urban elementary and secondary school teachers on school restructuring efforts underway in their schools. Teachers exhibit patterns of involvement that characterize them as cynical dissenters, coincidental cooperators, or committed advocates. Experienced teachers are the most skeptical and least involved because of their prior experiences with reform. (SLD)
