A Postmodern Critique of Conte's, Andrew's, Gresham's, and Elliott's Assumptions.
Kronick, Doreen
Journal of Learning Disabilities, v26 n10 p648-52 Dec 1993
Several researchers' assumptions regarding social skills of individuals with learning disabilities are refuted as representing an "either/or" empirical view. A postmodern view is presented, contending that exceptionalities are differentiated by looking at the quality of behaviors and possible antecedents rather than comparing them quantitatively, and learning disabilities are not earmarked by universal characteristics.
