The Development of a Paper-and-Pencil Measure of Belenky, Clinchy, Goldberger and Tarule's (1986) Conceptual Model of Women's Ways-of-Knowing Instrument.
Buczynski, Patricia L.
Journal of College Student Development, v34 n3 p197-200 May 1993
Traditional models of student development have been criticized for discriminating against developmental characteristics of women. Developed Ways-of-Knowing Instrument (WOKI) to measure concepts from Belenky et al.'s model of intellectual development. Administered WOKI to 348 female undergraduates. Found encouraging empirical support for Belenky et al. model and support for five-factor model of intellectual development for women. (Author/NB)
