New Careers Model Revisited: The Importance of Mentoring.
Johnson, Jay; And Others
Journal of Employment Counseling, v30 n2 p55-66 Jun 1993
Examined postproject, career-mobility potential of seven outreach workers who worked for federally funded community Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) prevention project. Descriptive findings suggest that such projects can significantly improve lifetime vertical career mobility patterns for particular indigenous personnel and that their career paths may be enhanced as result of developing relationship with mentors.
