Assesses the usefulness of three evaluation methods to measure the competence of research training course participants through (1) self-assessment, (2) theoretical assessment, and (3) practical assessment. Results indicate an agreement between competence assessments measured by instructors and self rating by trainees. (10 references) (Author/MCO)
