Examines the attitudes of undergraduate students through a fourth-phase time-lag study beginning in 1950 focusing on political orientation, optimism, and student activism. Results from 108 male and 321 female undergraduates in 1992 demonstrate changes in student conservatism and activism over the years but basically similar religious orientations. (SLD)
