Attitudes toward Academic Interdependence and Learning Outcomes in Two Contexts.
Jagers, Robert J.
Journal of Negro Education, v61 n4 p531-38 Fall 1992
Studies attitudes of 120 African-American undergraduates toward academic interdependence and motivation in interdependent and independent learning contexts. Results indicate a prevalent cooperative academic attitude, with a positive impact on academic motivation in cooperative contexts. African-American students tend to be disposed more toward academic cooperation than toward individualism. (SLD)
