The Nature and Origins of Ecological World Views: An Australian Study.
Blaikie, Norman W. H.
Social Science Quarterly, v73 n1 p144-65 Mar 1992
Examines level of commitment to an ecological world view and sociodemographic bases for that commitment among Australians. Describes an ecological world view scale. Reports little attitudinal difference between students and others, but finds females more ecologically minded and less confident in science and technology than males are. Concludes that additional consideration of models, scales, and concepts is necessary. (DK)
