The Meaning of Due Process 30 Years after Dixon: Rhetoric but Little Research.
Baker, Thomas R.
NASPA Journal, v30 n1 p3-10 Fall 1992
Reviews literature since Dixon v. Alabama State Board of Education (1961) decision. Notes scholarship moving away from discussing purpose and utility of adversarial proceedings, trend that may work against best interests of those institutions. Argues that research should consider the personal incentive mechanisms inherent in a structured disciplinary process and compare costs and benefits of various complaint models. (Author/NB)
