Surveyed randomly selected undergraduate students (n=1,438) at an urban west coast university about their college employment experiences. Results indicated that students employed in part-time jobs congruent with their career interests were more likely to be satisfied with their jobs. Further research is needed to examine the limited opportunity structure that often exists around college campuses. (Author/NB)
