Computers in Education; Achieving Equitable Access and Use.
Nolan, Patrick C. J.; And Others
Journal of Research on Computing in Education, v24 n3 p299-314 Spr 1992
This study surveyed 240 students in a New Zealand secondary school on socioeconomic (SES) background, gender, time spent using computers, applications, educational goals, keyboard competency, and attitudes toward computers. No differences were found in computer access across ability, gender, and SES divisions; however, females continue to use computers in different ways. Findings are compared with a similar 1989 study.
