A Comparative Analysis of Arrangements for State Coordination of Higher Education in Canada and the United States.
Skolnik, Michael L.; Jones, Glen A.
Journal of Higher Education, v63 n2 p121-42 Mar-Apr 1992
The relationship between state/provincial governments and universities in Canada and the United States is discussed, focusing on state coordination of public universities. Salient cultural and political differences between the two countries are examined in the context of a theory that differences stem from organizing principles growing out of the U.S. Revolution. (MSE)
