Assertiveness and Problem-Solving Training for Mildly Mentally Retarded Persons with Dual Diagnoses.
Nezu, Christine M.; And Others
Research in Developmental Disabilities, v12 n4 p371-86 1991
This study investigated the differential effectiveness of assertiveness and problem-solving training on 28 dually diagnosed (mild mental retardation and mental disorders) patients' adaptive social behavior, distress and psychiatric symptoms, anger control, and problem-solving coping skills. Improvements resulted from combined assertiveness and problem-solving training, but no differences between the two treatments were observed. (Author/DB)
