Reviews the process of unemployment and the benefits of leisure, as well as proposes a broader conceptual framework for integrating leisure with work as a means of assisting unemployed workers to cope with unemployment. Notes that, by viewing leisure as integral component of individual's career, employment counselors can more effectively assist unemployed to cope with abundance of leisure time. (NB)
