Shock Incarceration in Georgia: An Analysis of Task Performance and Training Needs among Corrections Officers.
Camp, Damon D.
Journal of Offender Rehabilitation, v16 n3-4 p153-76 1991
Conducted qualitative interviews and comprehensive job-task analysis to identify activities and training needs of correctional officers working in "shock incarceration" or "Boot Camp" corrections. Found that for correctional officers working in two major shock programs, most highly rated tasks were related to physical security. Evidence strongly indicated greatest training needs concerned activities which were uniquely shock incarceration connected. (Author/NB)
