Intersections and Differences: Integration of Women into the United States Survey Course, Part I.
Srole, Carole
History Teacher, v23 n3 p263-74 May 1990
Analyzes problems confronted when integrating women into U.S. history textbooks and college survey courses. Reviews feminist scholarship to examine how women's experiences have differed from men's throughout U.S. history. Although acknowledging the importance of exploring these differences, argues scholars also must investigate women's interrelationships with the dominant culture and their roles in major historical transformations.
