At-Risk Students and Microcomputers: What Do We Know and How Do We Know It?
Olson, Beth; Krendl, Kathy A.
Journal of Educational Technology Systems, v19 n2 p165-75 1990-91
Provides an overview of research on the effectiveness of microcomputer applications with at-risk students and suggests that many findings in the literature are questionable because of flaws in research methodology. Issues relating to measurement, learning environment, computer utilization, gender, and socioeconomic status are addressed, and suggestions for future research are given. (18 references) (LRW)
