Using distance education to develop management metacompetencies such as creativity, flexibility, and resourcefulness encounters problems in terms of learner vulnerability, learning style, structural dysfunctions, and "reality" methods. A combination of distance learning, discovery learning, and competency-based simulation may address these problems. (SK)
