Analyzes the citations in 187 articles on bibliographic instruction published in library science journals to determine the extent to which authors cited sources from library and information science as compared to sources from traditional subject disciplines. The results suggest an insularity, not only from other subject disciplines, but from the larger field of librarianship. (14 references) (Author/CLB)
