Assessed nature and severity of psychological symptoms of university counseling center clients (N=l,589) with application of Symptom Check List-90-Revised (SCL-90-R) in a university counseling center setting. Found one-fourth of clients had scores indicating presence of psychiatric disorder. Results suggest need for crisis intervention skills and psychiatric consultation services for university counselors. (Author/CM)
