The Effect of Several Self-Disclosure Permutations on Counseling Process and Outcome.
Donley, Rita J.; And Others
Journal of Counseling and Development, v67 n7 p408-12 Mar 1989
Examined potential effect of self-disclosure in intervention program for male college seniors (N=60) with deficient job-interviewing skills. Four different counselors treating participants on individual basis provided predetermined, genuine self-disclosures reflecting qualities of intimacy and/or skill display. Results did not support supposition that counselor self-disclosures lead to improvements in counseling process and outcome. (Author/NB)
