A survey of 774 school psychologists serving hearing-impaired populations found 80 percent served this group part-time and 19 percent worked full-time in special day school or residential programs. It appears that while the settings in which hearing-impaired children are served have changed, the problems of inadequate instrumentation have not. (Author/MSE)
