Examined counseling problems encountered by resident assistants (RAs) at Indiana University (Bloomington) during 1971, 1974, 1977, 1980, 1983, and 1986. Examined changes in counseling problems over the years and compared counseling problems of RAs for womens' and for mens' units. Consistently identified problems dealt with academic problems, student self-reliance, roommates, and alcohol use resulting in disciplinary action. (NB)
