Examined behaviors of 66 hospitalized adolescents following release from acute-care hospitals. Used the Hospital Self-Report Instrument to record positive and negative experiences while hospitalized. Respondents reported statements of personal learning and benefit from being alone and inactive while hospitalized. Discusses developmental aspects in relation to adolescent hospitalization.
