Relation between Coping Strategies and Distress, Stress, and Marital Adjustment of Multiple-Role Women.
McLaughlin, Mike; And Others
Journal of Counseling Psychology, v35 n2 p187-93 Apr 1988
Examined time-management and self-care coping techniques that multiple-role women use. Found number, type, and frequency of use of coping strategies significantly related to level of distress, stress, and particularly marital adjustment. High marital adjustment group subjects had significantly lower levels of distress, employed a greater number of coping strategies, and reported greater frequency of their use. (Author/KS)
