Evaluated intervention programs for parents and children at risk of child maltreatment. Thirty mother-child dyads were assigned to an information group offered by the child protection agency or behavioral parent training in addition to this. Parenting risk and child behavior problems improved for mothers receiving parent training. Child-rearing environments and children's adaptive behaviors improved in both groups. (Author/KS)
