Is Higher Education Too Old for Technology?
Merck, Edwin; Fleit, Linda
EDUTECH Report, v3 n11 p1,4-5 Feb 1988
This two-part article begins by describing symptoms which indicate that technology and higher education are out of step with each other. It is postulated that there is a mismatch in life cycles, with higher education at a mature point, and technology needing the flexible, risk-taking, innovative environment of the earlier stages.
