Examined contributions of objective integration, subjective integration, and total leisure activity to life satisfaction of adults aged 40 and 89 years. Telephone interviews with 400 adults revealed that objective integration contributed significantly to life satisfaction only for older males, but subjective integration and total leisure activity contributed to life satisfaction for males and females of all ages.
