Children's Depression Inventory: Construct and Discriminant Validity across Clinical and Nonreferred (Control) Populations.
Carey, Michael P.; And Others
Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, v55 n5 p755-61 Oct 1987
Evaluated construct and discriminant validity of Children's Depression Inventory (CDI) for large child and adolescent sample of clinical inpatients and demographically comparable nonreferred subjects. Three factors entered a significant discrimination function. Depressive Affect and Oppositional Behavior distinguished depressive and conduct-disorder subjects from nonreferred subjects. The Personal Adjustment factor was strongest for nonreferred subjects. (Author/KS)
