Borderline Personality-Disordered Alcoholics in Iceland: Descriptions on Demographic, Clinical, and MMPI Variables.
Jonsdottir-Baldursson, Thuridur; Horvath, Peter
Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, v55 n5 p738-41 Oct 1987
Replicated, in an Icelandic sample of alcoholics, research on the clinical and demographic characteristics of borderline patients. Used Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI), Gunderson's Diagnostic Interview for Borderlines, and the Michigan Alcoholism Screening Test. A particular MMPI high point configuration characterized alcoholics with borderline personality disorder, challenging the view of alcoholism as a unitary disease. (Author/KS)
