Vocational Teacher Turnover/Retention Behavior: A Four-Stage Process.
Grady, Thomas L.; Figueira, Eduardo A.
Journal of Vocational and Technical Education, v4 n1 p25-38 Fall 1987
A conceptual model integrating major findings from research on employee and teacher turnover/retention behavior is presented for application to vocational education teachers. The model suggests that an individual traverses four stages before deciding to stay in or leave teaching: (1) selection, (2) integration, (3) evaluation, and (4) decision. (Author/CH)
