The Effect of Students' Sex and Disability on Counselors' Agreement With Postsecondary Career Goals.
Hopkins-Best, Mary
School Counselor, v35 n1 p28-33 Sep 1987
Examined high school guidance counselors' (N=266) agreement with the appropriateness of various postsecondary goals for a fictitious student whose sex and disability were manipulated. Although there were five traditionally female- or male-dominated careers which counselors did not rate differentially as appropriate for the high school senior, most occupations were rated differently depending on student sex and disability.
