Examined the effects of a background of soft, instrumental music on depth of client self-exploration in counseling dyads. Analyzed audiotapes of the sessions using Depth of Client Self-Exploration Scale. Revealed greater depth of client self-exploration for music conditions over the no music condition and for slow over lively music condition. (Author/KS)
