Kanchier, Carole J.; Unruh, Wally R.
Career Development Quarterly, v35 n4 p304-15 Jun 1987
Examined managers (N=166) who voluntarily left the employ of an organization to determine reason for job change. Most job changers did not alter their general occupational orientations, but moved to occupational environments more congruent with their developing personality traits and goals. Suggests within an occupation there are diverse people with different goals, values, and needs. (ABL)
