Psychopathology and Women's Attitudes Towards Equal Rights: An MMPI Study.
Cernovsky, Zack Zdenek
Social Behavior and Personality, v14 n2 p167-69 1986
Female alcohol and drug addicts (N=86) entering treatment took the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI). Women affirming the item "I believe women ought to have as much sexual freedom as men" were younger, had better visuospatial reasoning skills, and scored less pathologically on MMPI measures of depression, neurotic tendencies, ego strength, and social isolation than women denying that item.
