Discusses a study designed to determine if successful completion of a community hygiene course by sanitarians resulted in measurable changes in acquired knowledge and behavior and skills related to job performance. Results indicated that both knowledge and skills improved significantly and that both participants and supervisors perceived an improvement in job performance. (ML)
